How should I care for my Remi & Nico jewellery?
To maintain the beauty of your 14k gold jewellery, avoid contact with chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products. Store pieces separately in a soft pouch when not in use.
Can I wear my jewellery every day?
Yes. Our solid 14k gold flatback earrings are designed for everyday wear. However, we recommend removing jewellery before swimming, exercising, or sleeping to reduce unnecessary wear.
How do I clean my jewellery?
Clean gently using a soft, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, use warm water and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh cleaners.
Will my jewellery change over time?
Solid gold is long-lasting, but natural wear can occur over time. Regular care will help preserve the finish and appearance of your jewellery.
Will white gold change colour over time?
Yes. With regular wear, the rhodium plating on white gold may naturally wear over time, revealing a warmer tone beneath. This is normal and does not affect the quality of the gold.
How should I store my jewellery?
Store jewellery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keeping pieces separated helps prevent scratching and tangling.
Sizing
What post length do you use?
Our earrings use a 6 mm flatback post, which is considered the most common and versatile length for healed lobe piercings. It’s designed to sit close to the ear without feeling tight, making it ideal for everyday and 24/7 wear.
What does 16G mean?
16G (1.2 mm) refers to the thickness (gauge) of the post. This is a widely used standard for flatback and labret-style earrings and offers a secure, comfortable fit for most ears. If you already wear flatback earrings, 16G is very likely compatible.
What if my ears are thicker or thinner than average?
Most customers find the 6 mm post fits comfortably. If you have particularly thick lobes, the fit may feel more snug, while very thin lobes may notice a small amount of extra room. We’re happy to help with sizing guidance if you’re unsure.
Will future Remi & Nico tops fit my posts?
Yes. All Remi & Nico flatback tops are designed using the same custom easy-guide threading, ensuring compatibility across styles now and in future collections.
